As part of an official inauguration ceremony in Dakar, the kick-off is given this Friday, April 28, 2023 at CICES for an innovative economic integration initiative led by the General Directorate for Support to Senegalese Abroad (DGASE) and its partners.
130 multi-service kiosks, spread across several regions of the country, will now be operated by two people (returned migrants and young people) each, thus combining 260 jobs for young people and access to digital services for residents of the areas concerned.
On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the construction of these afghanistan mobile database kiosks was supported by the German Technical Cooperation (GIZ) as part of the "RECOSA-Perspectives via South-South Cooperation" project, which will run from September 2022 to April 2023.
Today, they are operational and operated by the DGASE in partnership with the digital company B&G digital, for a renewable one-year period, as part of the State-employer agreement with the Employment Directorate. Trained in digital services as well as administrative and financial management, the young people will be able to advise their future clients on services as varied as money transfers, bill payments and other types of payment, as well as innovative value-added services.
" As the DGASE, we are fully committed to diversifying sustainable reintegration to promote employment for returning migrants and young people seeking opportunities, and are building partnerships with various state and private sector actors in various promising sectors. The multi-service kiosks, by combining employment opportunities for young people and access to services for residents of the municipalities, are a true win-win model. We thank the German cooperation for supporting the construction of these 130 pilot multi-service kiosks. Based on this experience, we are now aiming to scale up via other kiosks ," said Mr. Amadou François Gaye, Ambassador and Director General of the DGASE.
