This leads me to question the Bowker’s BooksinPrint.com listing of 8255 items for Gordon Press Publishers and 818 for Revisionist Press. available through the bookstore and library is accurate, and the sketchy data available by accessing the demo version of the online catalog is misleading ... much as is the 1998 edition of Global BIP made available to unwitting library users.
The fact that most of the radical Gordon Press titles phone number list appearing in the Library of Congress Online Catalog are evidently not available for lending should make one suspicious. We ought not forget the concern expressed by the reference librarian at the Library of Congress: neither she nor her colleagues approved of a secret police entanglement with the reading interests of unsuspecting library patrons. Confidentiality has been lost, and along with it trust and respect for the FBI and their collaborators.
As you will recall, Gordon Press has lowered its Global Books In Print profile, claiming to publish only a hand-full of new books in recent years. The obvious conclusion to which one is driven is that Gordon Press has stream-lined its long-standing Global Books In Print operation in favor of its inevitable world wide hunting ground ...namely: the Net! I have looked for Gordon Press on the Internet for some time, but found very little. Finally, in February 2000, it was possible to confirm at least one Gordon Press affiliate on the Internet! You wouldn’t expect to hit upon a site by the name Gordonpress.com, would you?
