Which jobs are currently in particularly high demand for skilled workers? The 2023/24 DIHK report shows that in Germany, staff shortages are affecting almost all sectors and occupations. In many sectors, there is talk not only of a shortage of skilled workers, but also of a general labor shortage. According to current estimates, around 1.8 million positions remain unfilled in the economy as a whole.
